Lending Club is looking for an accomplished and energized Director of Product Marketing who will partner with our Product & Leadership teams to build compelling strategies that drive the business, shake-up the market, and advocate for Lending Club’s differentiated customer experience. We seek a Marketing Professional with a persuasive communication style and excellent business and analytical skills—all combined with a creative streak. You’ll lead go-to-market planning for new and existing product initiatives including development of product and marketing materials, evaluations, as well as supporting acquisition programs, operations and sales communications.
Responsibilities:
• You will lead a team of product, content, and email marketing specialists.
• In partnership with the Product Management team, you will improve end-to-end borrower experience including funnel optimization, new feature development, and customer engagement.
• You will be committed to our product priorities through a deep understanding of the competitive space and customer feedback.
• You are savvy on our borrower personas, their critical issues, how they buy, and their buying criteria. Develop positioning and targeted messaging that differentiates Lending Club in the market.
• You will develop and execute launch plans for new product initiatives, working closely with product management, PR, sales, support, and the rest of the marketing team.
• You will guide email and SMS marketing strategy for prospects and existing customers.
• You will stay up-to-date on our competitive landscape and ensure the team understands and can clearly communicate key differentiators of the products.
• You will craft content and educate the company to drive a deeper understanding of our products and markets, as well as consistent communication across channels.
About You:
• Bring 7+ years relevant marketing management experience including positioning and messaging, funnel/conversion optimization, competitive analysis, and product launches in a B2C environment. Financial services experience a big plus.
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Have excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills
• An ability to sell ideas well through creative and innovative presentations
• Bring extraordinary social skills; ability to build positive relationships with cross-functional team members and lead through influence
• Ability to run and prioritize multiple projects at a time
• A high-energy and willing attitude—you love to jump in and help wherever you can
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus
