The Global Product Manager we're seeking will own Content product strategy across the global Expedia platform. You will have the opportunity to ideate the direction and define how we will engage, and wow our users for the Brand Expedia Group (BEX) brands. You'll optimize content that inspires new travel adventures. You'll also develop internal content management tools, that encompass innovative analytical capabilities to help measure and build on our success. This is a unique opportunity to create and evangelize a long term product strategy, drive all phases of product initiatives and build collaborative relationships across diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a Product vision and strategy that will drive traffic growth and conversion across all BEX Group brands; evangelize the team's vision across the BEX Group to gain full organizational support and ensure successful execution.
• Work closely with external partners to enhance our product offerings; lead these critical relationships to ensure product quality and partner satisfaction over the long run.
• Establish the product vision, business goals, product roadmap, and global rollout plans across the Expedia platform. All the while, refining and building product offerings over time to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Design and implement A/B testing strategy, and test design. Partnering with designers, developers and QA on execution, you'll also take this opportunity to identify new features and craft user stories for implementation. Lead UAT for projects that impact products; identify gaps or conflicts in requirements; mitigate risks & UAT defects driving toward resolution.
• You'll regularly report on and present detailed analysis of business impact, product strategy and lead executive communication on results.
• Identify necessary compromise between cost, schedule, and business benefit, while ensuring successful delivery of set features that meet both internal and external customer needs.
• Liaise between all business owners to make them aware of product offerings, upcoming changes, and how best to utilize both for their business.
• Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, product & technology developments, and consumer demand.
• Mentor and lead global product managers on best practices, improving key skills and shipping maintainable functionality smoothly.
General Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
• 10+ years of related experience in a product management capacity, including a deep knowledge of software development methodologies, from gathering business requirements to turning them into detailed functional design specifications.
• 3+ years of hands on software development experience preferred; alternatively, demonstrated understanding of typical technology architecture for high-volume websites.
• Extraordinary grasp of business strategy and technical concepts.
• Prior experience in digital content strategy, content management systems and / or web-based viral projects is ideal.
• Experience translating business strategy into a detailed product roadmap, with a measurable, long-term positive impact on business performance.
• Experience handling a portfolio of technology products and/or projects and leading change from inception through delivery; this includes demonstrated ability to lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment
• First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization.
