Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Director, Strategy and Operations to join the SC Media team. This position is located in our New York, NY office.
Job Overview:
SC Media is looking for a Director, Strategy and Operations with strong leadership, marketing, analytical, and project management skills to help enable cross-functional teams to successfully meet overarching brand goals through strategic planning and action.
As a leader on the team, the director will progress the execution of some of SC Media’s editorial, sponsored, and/or custom offerings against strategic initiatives and growth objectives. The successful candidate for this position will have an outstanding service ethic and be comfortable tackling specific problems by applying a general strategic framework that is both internally and externally facing.
Responsibilities:
The Director will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day business of the group, including:
• Develop and execute marketing plans on a regular basis
• Conceptualize product plans that could include live conferences or paid content in addition to digital and custom offerings
• Identify areas for brand growth opportunities, as well as offer recommendations and design action plans to fulfill the approved ideas
• Execute key strategic and operational projects to support revenue growth our other KPIs such as driving audience
• Assist in developing and implementing strategic sales plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
• Collaborate, monitor, analyze, and communicate business trends and performance of key business metrics to stakeholders
• Communicate insights from actionable data to align various business objectives
• Lead press announcements and media partnership dealings to increase overall brand equity
Skills and Requirements:
As this position will operate with a great deal of autonomy, the candidate will require exceptional project management and planning skills. While there will be some milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) set for the professional filling this role, he or she also will need to set and manage their own deadlines and goals for projects to ensure that work is completed in the expected timeframe. In addition, the director should have:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ work experience
• Proven track record of creative and successful program delivery
• Demonstrated ability to design commercial, financial, and/or non-financial measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improved performance
• Working knowledge of IT/Security marketplace a plus
• Demonstrated analytical reasoning/quantitative analysis skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and cross-functional teams
• Ability to formulate and clearly deliver complex information, challenges and recommendations in both written and oral forms to senior management
• Some experience working in Salesforce, developing strategic marketing plans, managing social media, and developing/mentoring staff
