ABOUT THE JOB
The Sales Director is responsible for managing a team of Account Executives, Pre-Sales and/or individual contributing Team Leaders. He/she will develop, lead, and execute strategies to grow revenues in new and existing accounts and select target markets.
Essential Job Functions include:
• Achievement of accepted pipeline and revenue targets.
• Ensuring the healthy make-up of deals from a Software AG perspective, including the maximization of standard rate maintenance combined with new revenue.
• Effectively and accurately managing forecasting and pipeline reporting related to revenue, and specific accuracy around timelines for forecasting.
• Performance managing, leading, coaching and mentoring Account Executives, and Team Leaders with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
• Working with marketing, product management, pre-sales, and professional services teams to maximize opportunities and foster cohesive sales strategies.
• Developing executive level relationships with clients and partners to advance individual opportunities and client relationships.
• Pursuing and closing opportunities with Enterprise (and/or Government) customers.
ABOUT YOU
• Able to recruit, motivate & retain top-talent
• Strong Japanese and English skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills and ability to conduct clear and concise sales briefings/meetings.
• Ability to create constructive tension and challenge the customer with the use of customer & industry insight.
• Is target and success orientated.
• A number of years prior experience successfully selling software based solutions, specifically into targeted new name accounts.
• Experience successfully managing a team selling within enterprise solutions industry.
• A successful track record in the Software Industry, proven experience developing C-Level relationships, and is a hands-on “player”.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent and familiarity with internet technologies
