Requirements
• M.S. in Statistics, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Machine Learning, Economics, or Data Analytics.
• Experience working with large volumes of data, combining and reconciling data from different sources with proven ability to turn raw data into informative insight.
• 5+ years' experience in retail, online, and/or direct marketing
• Experience in MS Office applications and reporting tools. Above average to expert Excel skills a must.
• Good communications skills and ability to work well independently
• Ability to partner with business leaders and ensure measurable marketing success
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments.
• 5+ years of programming experience in Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG), SAS Macros, SAS EG, SAS Enterprise Miner, and SAS Visual Analytics
• 3+ years in R, STATA, Python, or equivalent computer programming experience
• Minimum 2+ years in SQL
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Strong skills in logic, problem-solving, and statistics / modeling
• Must be comfortable with setting priorities
• Create and distribute reports and analytics independently
• SAS Certification desired, not required
Description
This position will report to the VP of Marketing level at 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc.
The individual will directly manage the Analytics and Decision Support team (ADS) for the Great Foods brands, including the analytical needs for Cheryl's Cookies, The Popcorn Factory, DesignPac, and 1800Baskets.com. The Analytics & Decision Support team supports all of these brands, with a specific focus on the direct-to-consumer and business to business channels of business for these brands.
Responsibilities Include:
• Oversee analytic team's activities to respond quickly to ad-hoc questions from throughout the enterprise
• Manage team of 2-3 Business Analysts
• Direct analytical team to support segmentation and list fulfillment of marketing campaigns, including email and catalog campaigns
• Lead team in evaluating and developing advanced analysis solutions -- such as propensity models and forecasting
• Manage the daily and weekly and other routine reporting for the GFB brands; including intra-day reporting during the key holiday selling season.
• Work with each brands marketing teams on the development of all post-mortem reports and gain customer insights

• Collaborate with other analytical teams throughout the enterprise -- including web analytics team and ADS teams throughout the enterprise

• Technical expertise preferred --particularly experience with data analysis tools like SAS, SQL, R, or similar
