Your Impact:
As a senior member of the Product Management team, you have the opportunity to shape our Marketing Cloud product line that will allow customers to have visibility from all devices into our cross channel digital marketing solutions.
You accomplish this via direct hands-on ownership as well as leadership - both direct and by influence to drive the product strategy, roadmap and launch and operations of products with a global mindset. You will own and manage the Marketing Cloud suite and will ensure it provides marketers with a world class experience and allows them to perform key tasks with ease.
You will be a key player in helping accelerate the growth of the Marketing Cloud solution. Your overarching focus will be on bringing innovative product ideas to market via technology - with a relentless focus on the customer. You bring strong product oriented thinking combined with communication, analytical and leadership skills.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in cross-channel campaign management and building out a robust set of marketing tools to empower marketers to leverage real-time customer & behavioral data to run event-driven marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Success will be measured by the overall performance of your product line, which will include; product performance, stability, strong adoption by customers and high app store ratings.
• Establish and drive the product strategy and vision for the Marketing Cloud
• Application and successful launch of the application.
• Work with customers, sales teams, and services teams to identify product use cases and drive key features, enhancements and requirements
• Providing planning process to determine scope of each release
• Participate in cross-functional teams chartered with writing functional requirements and creating prototypes for usability testing
• Work with the development, documentation, and software quality assurance teams through delivery of respective features
• Work collaboratively with product and corporate marketing teams to develop marketing plans, positioning, core messaging, presentations, demos and sales tools to support the launch of new products with customers
• Work with industry analysts and product reviewers to articulate the value proposition and differentiators in the offering
• Participate in customer-facing events and user conferences as a product expert
• Drive strong MAU (Monthly Active Users), Stable performance, fast response times
• Identify other possible opportunities and build business cases for bringing them to Market.
• Define and manage the product roadmap, setting of and continuously managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
• Lead (directly and/or by influence) world-class product managers, engineers, QA, UX designers and work closely with other partner stakeholders (marketing, merchandising, legal, finance)- providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision for customer centric and global product launches
• Occasional travel to meet with key customers to understand product needs and issues
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Self-starter with ability to lead large scale projects and build new technical products from the ground up independently.

• Partner with product and technical managers (both within other Salesforce.com teams) to identify and influence development of new products, features, and functionalities.
• Write market, functional and system requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business and development teams
• Create and maintain sequencing of projects, prioritization and tradeoffs vis-à-vis short-term and longer-term strategic goals.
• Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others.
• Work with other business partners to perform deep data driven analysis of businesses to surface actionable insights and product requirements; drive the implementation of recommendations derived from analysis into product features.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality.
• Dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape.
Minimum Requirements:
• BA/BS (preferably in a Computer Science related discipline)
• 10+ years of Technical Leadership
• 2-5 years product management experience on cloud based enterprise applications and integrated solutions
• Experience with CRM, marketing applications and/or cloud computing
• Proven history of delivering software products with visual design and engineering teams
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as User Centered Design, Lean Startup, XP, or Scrum
• Self-starter, broad thinker, strategic planner, analytical skills
• Ability to lead remote teams and team members located in different geo's
• Experience in both leading a team directly and by influence to meet aggressive goals with high judgment applied on how products are built.
• A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical and non-technical employees.
Preferred Requirements:
• MBA related credentials are strongly preferred.
• Experience working with marketing or marketing related products
