What You'll Do
The Marketing Country Director will provide leadership and hands on management to define and execute all marketing related strategies and execution activities for Brazil. The broad mandate includes marketing strategy development and field execution in collaboration with members of the Brazilian leadership team and the broader global marketing community to support the Brazilian business plan and market objectives. This position requires extensive field and marketing experience with proven strengths in team leadership and budget management, as well as a strong understanding of current marketing trends and drivers in the IT and networking industry. Functional discipline knowledge must include brand, demand generation, advertising, communications, marketing analytics, digital marketing: web, social & online, program development and execution, marketing automation and event management.
More specifically, the role will be focused on:
* Supporting and Establishing Strategic Direction - Establishing appropriate program mix to accomplish Brazilian sales goals. Committing to a long-range course of action to accomplish a long-range goal or vision, analyzing factual information and assumptions
* People Development - leading a diverse team through the transformation Cisco is driving from Products to Services to Outcomes, and building future leaders capable of succession and taking on high performance challenges across the Americas
* Complex Budget Management - Building trusted relationships with investing stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and Partners to deliver a full Marketing offer portfolio
* Operational Decision Making - Managing complex decision-making processes; securing relevant information and identifying key issues. Committing to action after developing alternative courses of action, which take into consideration resources, constraints, culture and organizational values.
* Strategic Relationships - Using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective relationships with business partners (including: peers; customers, functional partners, external vendors, and alliance partners)
* Business & Technical Knowledge - Understanding and utilizing economic, financial, and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses; identifying key issues and developing strategies and plans
* Customer/External Orientation - Cultivating strategic customer, vendor and association relationships, to ensure the customer perspective is the driving force behind all value-added business activities. Drive insights from digital and analytical capabilities to drive better decision making and more personalized journeys and messages.
* Marketing transformation - Drive the omnichannel strategy that leverages automation and programmatic capabilities in an environment of testing and optimization.
* Entrepreneurship and Creativity - Demonstrating a creative can do attitude in a rapid-changing resource constrained environment
* Executive Disposition - Conveying an image that is consistent with the organization's values; demonstrating quality, traits and demeanor that command innovation, leadership and respect.

Who You Are
15+ years Marketing Management experience and at least 5 years at a senior position with at least 10 direct reports, primarily with B2B high-technology companies. Ability to demonstrate your experience and results driving integrated marketing including digital marketing, social marketing, advertising, event marketing, direct marketing, branding, PR and executive communications. Understanding of partner and services models. Outstanding team player in a highly matrixed environment. Proven good business judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English. A persuasive communicator and good negotiator. Good time management, project management and able to prioritize multiple tasks. Industry and networking expertise a plus. Can demonstrate ability to attract, develop and retain talent. Visionary, with an ability to implement. Creative and innovative. Highly dynamic, motivated, and passionate. Team player that is able to get the best out of others including extended virtual teams. Hands-on manager and leader by example. Commands respect. Start up mentality and results-oriented.
