Hotels.com is looking to fill the role of Director, Product Management (Landing). This is a critical role within the Hotels.com Product team and reports to the VP, Global Product. You will manage 5 Product Managers, and will have matrixed management of a team of 70+ developers, UX designers & product analysts.
You will oversee all mobile & desktop website product features relating to our Landing experience (e.g. homepage, merchandising pages, SEO landing experience), our destination & user-generated content products, plus the evolution of our front-end platform technologies. Your responsibility includes defining the vision, setting the strategy and executing the product roadmap for your pillar. You have a strong strategic mindset and excellent leadership skills. You will excel in building relationships and have a practical understanding of technology and website development.
This position will be based in Angel, London.
Key responsibilities
• Define a compelling product vision & roadmap for this Pillar, and drive the delivery of this roadmap via the direct team & matrixed technology teams
• Provide cross-functional leadership for the “Landing Pillar” which includes UX Designers, Testing Analysts, Technology Leads and Analysts
• Set, track and communicate the business goals for the Pillar, providing a single point of contact between Product, Technology and Business units
• Trade off the competing demands of customers, the business and the technology team, while driving Conversion, Net Promoter Score, Gross Profit per Visitor and feature development velocity
• Lead key cross-product & cross-Hotels.com strategic initiatives, coordinate with stakeholders across Hotels.com and Expedia Inc to drive delivery
• Be an active member of the Product leadership team
Ideal experience
• Strong strategic credentials - MBA qualification or strategy consulting experience a bonus
• Previous product management and/or market facing roles are preferred. Experience working closely with software development teams ideal
• Sector background likely to be consumer-facing online and digital media, preferably with an e-commerce component
• Experience of leading cross-cultural diverse teams where judicious localisation strategies and communications are required
• Successful track record leading teams that have delivered significant outcomes within the digital product environment
• Background in a global, matrix structure
