Ecosystem Partner Development Director
On January 31, 2017 Oracle completed the acquisition of Dyn, which now operates as an Oracle Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) global business unit (GBU).
The Ecosystem Partner Development Director is focused on helping identify and grow new business and technology ecosystem opportunities for Oracle + Dyn. The key responsibilities include being part of a team focused on:
• improving the company’s market position with a focus on revenue growth and new product opportunity
• helping push forward long-term organizational strategic goals by building key customer partner and industry relationships
• identifying and securing unique business and new technology solution opportunities
• negotiating and closing key business deals and maintaining extensive understanding of industry trends and growth drivers.
This position reports directly to the VP Business Development.
Responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities to maximize existing partnerships for new sales growth and/or technology innovation with 3rd parties
• Negotiate agreements with new partners and periodically re-negotiate existing contracts
• Attend industry Trade-shows/conferences to meet with existing and potential partners and represent the Dyn brand
• Support existing Oracle + Dyn sales and technology partnerships
• Expand existing partnerships grow sales, channel, and new product opportunity
• Create programs with partners to leverage Dyn assets
• Develop processes to analyze Oracle + Dyn performance with partners
Required Skills and Qualities:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to manage projects of various size and scope simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking engagements will be required
• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Ability to effectively liaise with internal teams
• Experience negotiating contracts
• Good sense of humor and likes working in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
• Some travel required
• Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and product management process
• Ability to support partner prospecting, pitching, and closing of new partner business
• Business degree (Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Management, Finance)
• 5-7 years prior experience working in Internet, SaaS, Business Development and/or Corporate Development functions
• Strong technical or Internet background
• Understanding of SaaS (subscription) models
• Able to work with CRM systems, maintaining a healthy pipeline and forecast
• Goal oriented and comfort carrying a revenue quota/target
• Proof of legal authority to work in U.S.
