We are looking for a Senior Director, Product Management (Booking & Loyalty) to join Hotels.com. This is a critical leadership role within the Hotels.com Product team and reports to the VP, Global Product. You will directly manage 9 Product Managers, and have matrixed management of a team of 70+ developers, UX designers & product analysts.
You will oversee all mobile & desktop website product features relating to our checkout process (e.g. customer experience, payment types, post-booking order management), as well as our customer accounts and the online execution of our Hotels.com Rewards loyalty programme. You will be responsible for defining the vision, setting the strategy and executing the product roadmap for their pillar. We want someone with a strong strategic mindset and leadership skills who is strong at building relationships. A practical understanding of technology and website development is ideal.
This position will be based in Angel, London.
Key responsibilities
• Define a compelling product vision & roadmap for this Pillar, and drive the delivery of this roadmap via the product management team & matrixed technology teams
• Provide cross-functional leadership for the “Booking & Loyalty Pillar” which includes UX Designers, Testing Analysts, Technology Leads and Site Optimisation Analysts
• Set, track and communicate the business goals for the Pillar, providing a single point of contact between Product, Technology and Business units
• Trade off the competing demands of customers, the business and the technology team, while driving metrics such as Conversion, Net Promoter Score, Gross Profit per Visitor, Identification Rate and feature development velocity
• Lead key cross-product & cross-Hotels.com strategic initiatives, coordinate with various teams across Expedia, Inc. to drive delivery
• Be an active member of both the Product leadership team and the Customer Marketing & Loyalty leadership teams
Ideal experience
• Strong strategic credentials - MBA qualification or strategy consulting experience a bonus
• Previous product management and/or market facing roles are preferred. Experience working closely with software development teams ideal
• Sector background likely to be consumer-facing online and digital media, preferably with an e-commerce component
• Experience of leading cross-cultural diverse teams where judicious localisation strategies and communications are required
• Successful track record leading teams that have delivered significant outcomes within the digital product environment
• Background in a global, matrix structure
