Medallia was founded on a simple idea: that companies can win by putting the customer before everything else. Our SaaS platform does this by capturing customer feedback, analyzing it in real-time, and then delivering it to everyone in a company — from the c-suite to the frontline — to help them improve. We’re now considered the leaders in a space we helped to create, we’re Sequoia backed, and we’re growing like crazy. We’ve got a culture focused on smarts, kindness, continual learning, reverence…and our people love it. Come find out why!
The Function
The Medallia People and Culture team speaks directly to its name. The company’s cultivator of talent, champion of development, and safekeeper of culture, People and Culture defines Medallia as both as a brand an employer. Inspired to find and bring out the best, we’re responsible for our people processes: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, benefits, performance management and growth, and support during life-changing moments. Our team balances playfulness and collegiality with dogged ownership of our work. So, what’s missing? YOU!
The Role
At Medallia, HR Business Partners solve complex organizational problems with a people lens. We believe in equal emphasis on each word in the title:
HR You’ll apply a people lens to opportunities and challenges we have not yet encountered as we scale and create a new category in Customer Experience Management
Business Your business acumen will set you apart from the crowd.
Partner While you’re a core member of the People and Culture team, you’ll work so closely with our teams that you and they will think you’re part of that team, too.
To be successful, you’ll need to challenge status quo, push your partners to be great always, and use data in addition to your laser sharp people instincts to drive decisions. You’ll need to roll up your sleeves as we build the next iteration of our people processes, but you’ll love every moment of it.
You’ll partner with experts from across People and Culture and Medallia more broadly to design and execute your strategy for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain and organize Medallians. As a core part of this hands-on work, you will be rolling out programs to support Medallians, including compensation, performance, and talent programs.
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience; MA/MS/MBA degree preferred
• 7-10 years of HR business partner or talent-related role experience
• Proven ability to work within constraints as well as challenge status quo.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
• Comfort with ambiguity and being a part of complex strategy discussions.
• Skilled communicator with a strong ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a complex set of stakeholders to drive organizational change.
