The role of Senior Director, Corporate Messaging will join the team who creates the Salesforce's corporate message and positioning, including our executive presentations at events like Dreamforce. We're looking for a passionate marketer to manage the overall corporate narrative for the company aligning teams across a global community, focusing on arming key executives with cutting edge, highly-relevant messaging across industry, business, and social issues. Increasingly more, Salesforce's corporate vision has become a compass for the industry with companies looking to Salesforce for not only what the future of cloud computing looks like, but for what the future of business looks like.
The ideal candidate understands the intersection of technology and business, telling stories of how companies are innovating and transforming themselves for the future.
Your Impact:
• Establish, manage and evangelize a corporate-level written narrative and world-class presentations for external communications & strategic initiatives including Dreamforce, Third-party, and other executive speaking engagements.
• Create a messaging steel-thread across all stakeholders that clearly communicates the company's progress ... our vision for the future, and the roadmap on how we intend to get there.
• Be a deep source of knowledge for latest product developments, customer stories and industry topics (i.e. AI, Mobile, 4th industrial revolution, etc.)
• Be a key messaging liaison and partner with Salesforce C-level executives in their respective channels and orgs
• Be the custodian and lead in positioning of Salesforce with all audiences-investors, customers, and employees.
• Create a virtual community of exec comms partners (indirects) aligned around a single playbook and message
• Guide and be a primary stakeholder in corporate-level messaging, advertising, and external communications
• Source, create and maintain 4-5 transformative customer stories in support of corporate narrative
Required Skills/Experience:
• Executive presence and strong written skills
• Good stroytelling skills. Ability to take complex technology concepts and communicate them to a mass market
• Deep event management background with a proven ability to deliver on multiple projects
• Stellar relationship building skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to develop and execute tactical solutions
• Strong self-starter with the ability to build a network within the broader organization
• Out of the box thinker with the ability to attract brilliant idea generators
• Willingness to travel
• Lastly, comfort working in an extremely fast-paced, start-up like environment
• Interest in global and technology issues
• BA/BS degree with strong academic record
• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate
