Audible - an Amazon company and perpetual innovator – is looking for a Creative Director, Brand Marketing to evangelize our our new Channels offering and original programming to Audible customers, Amazon Prime members as well as for customer acquisition. With your help, we’ll develop programs, and experiences that help build and extend our brand, attract and convert new customers, and engage our existing community of listeners in authentic and compelling ways. Brand Communications at Audible:
Audible's Marketing Communications group has one of the more enviable tasks in marketing: grow and engage a wildly passionate community of smart, curious-minded audiobook lovers. Operating as brand champions and performance marketers, the Marketing Communications team creates content, programs, and advertising assets – for both internal and external usage - across earned, owned, and paid platforms.
The Role:
Reporting to the VP Creative & Marketing Communications, the Creative Director will be helping to lead the creative vision for Channels marketing and merchandising at Audible. The role will oversee creative direction for all channels based marketing creative for it’s exclusive series, playlists as well as service promotions. This role will also be responsible for the design of the in app merchandising of the channels content. There will be a close-knit collaboration with the Content team, UX, Product and Marketing departments to craft experiences that stay true too, and elevate the Audible brand.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of a playful and provocative communications and experiences.
• Recruit and lead a team of passionate copyrighters and designers.
• Exude creativity in vision and designs.
• Work in close collaboration with the Content Dept. Marketing Dept and the UX team to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
• Communicate and present your team’s work appropriately to the company and community.
• Leverage data in a way that informs your design decisions
• Contribute your valuable skills to a very, very big movement
The Candidate:
You are a designer or copywriter at heart but you also have an understanding of the feasibility of your vision on the backend.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A clear understanding of design-centered processes as well as proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems
• Stunning portfolio full of a wide range of visual styles.
• Dedicated and strong attention to detail.
• Clear, concise, and transparent communication style.
• Action-oriented, off-the-charts work ethic, and flexibility.
• Passion for storytelling.
• Experience working on one or more highly-trafficked websites/mobile websites/native application
