Regional Director - Japan Region

As the new Salesforce Commerce Cloud, will be an integral part of the Customer Success Platform, allowing any company to transform the way they connect with customers 1-to-1 across sales, service, marketing, communities, analytics, IoT, platform and now commerce. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee all of the Japan business with responsibilities and key objectives including:
• Demonstrate leadership in sales activities by taking a hands-on approach as well as leveraging the team.
• Develop plans and execute strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals within the Japan Region
• Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
• Manage the Sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive revenue and results within the territory
• Review the partner strategy and upgrade it by industry and function in the first six months to ensure the successful implementation of Commerce Cloud ecommerce system for customers in Japan.
• Review and upgrade the existing sales team through recruitment, development and replacement in the first six months.
• Full P&L and general management responsibility for Commerce Cloud Japan.
• Manage objectives across the Japanese market and communicate results to the global leadership team.
Qualifications:
In terms of the performance and personal competencies required for the position, we would highlight the following:
• 15-plus years of sales experience with 10-plus years sales management experience in the retail software industry
• Knowledge of complex, multi-vendor selling cycles and SaaS experience a plus
• Demonstrated team management responsibilities including quota ownership for direct reports
• Successful management of teams with individual contributors carrying substantial quotas
• Ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time
• Proven track record of team building, successful management and deliverable on regional goals and quota
• Strong time management, organization, and decision making skills are critical
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Google Docs and MS Office applications including MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Experience selling through and collaborating with system integrators to devise solutions.
• Has successfully built rather than simply managed an operation.
• Ability to engage as a site leader without the need for all of the team to report directly. Able to collaborate with functional leaders in the region rather than to command all Japan teams and staff.
• Drive a sense of urgency and rapid pace in terms of operations.
• Bilingual, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
