DESCRIPTION
Position Summary

Operations is at the heart of what we do, delivering hundreds of thousands of items each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world. Amazon seeks a Finance Manager for providing Financial Planning and Analytical support for US order fulfillment. This key role would oversee critical aspects of planning, forecasting and analysis of Amazon's US costs by partnering with different teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all financial aspects of Customer Fulfillment in Canada, Mexico and Latin America
• Own all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis for Canada & Latin America Customer Fulfillment. This includes month end close, forecasting, annual operating plan and long range strategic development
• Oversight of Fulfillment center financials, including variable costs, fixed costs and labor planning activities
• Ownership of Transportation costs, including inter and intra country shipping costs; Support roll out of Amazon Logistics
• Partner with Fulfillment Center Operations, Supply Chain, and Transportation teams to identify new cost out opportunities
• Support long term topology and capacity planning, including cube utilization and CAPEX requirements
• Support Retail Operations as single point of contact for Canada and Latin America Customer Fulfillment operations
• Design and maintain the delivery mechanisms for information and tools to provide controlled access broadly to the network stakeholders
• Lead and develop a team of Finance Managers and Analysts across 4 countries
• Complete adhoc requests and analyses as needed
• Report to Finance Director of NA Customer Fulfillment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar degree
• MBA from a highly regarded business school is prefer
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience delivering performance reporting in a large corporate finance team with heavy emphasis on analytics and metrics
• Results-oriented, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense
• Proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams and able to communicate key metrics to management in a concise manner
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP)
• Strong attention to details
• Previous experience within a Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems a plus
• Leadership experience and demonstrated examples of successfully driving complex and milestone driven projects including the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
