As the Director of Design Systems, you will have the unique opportunity to influence the product direction of one of the largest software companies in the world. You'll be leading the world class team that designs, builds, and innovates on the Lightning Design System (http://salesforce.com/designsystem) - a product that has truly transformed the way we do product design at Salesforce.
You'll be collaborating closely with product designers and software developers across the Salesforce product ecosystem, building bridges where they don't yet exist and turning chaos into organization. We're looking for someone with the drive, talent, and vision to take our design system to the next level, and to help make our design and development processes even more scalable and efficient.
Experience / Skills Required
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in UX, with a strong focus on design systems and/or product design
• 2+ years of experience with leading or managing a design team
• Proven track record of shipping beautiful, delightful products
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and Sass
• Success working with executive leadership and engineering to define product scope and roadmap
• Power to influence peers / managers and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity
• Ability to function as a bridge across disciplines, such as Design, Product, Engineering, and Marketing
• Ability to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish
• BA/BS or MA/MS in design or related field, or equivalent experience
Bonus
• Experience with motion design and animation
• Experience in the CRM or enterprise software space
• Familiarity with Javascript
