ABOUT THE JOB
The vice president or director of marketing operations leads the marketing operations function in a b-to-b organization. The function is responsible for marketing related reporting and analytics; process building/refinement; planning and budgeting (in conjunction with corporate marketing/marketing leadership); marketing technology selection, implementation, governance and roadmap development; data management; best practices syndication; and marketing skills development.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Define, develop and deliver marketing measurement approach
• Construct key marketing reporting mechanisms, including dashboards and reports
• Ongoing analytics delivery to provide marketing and sales with insights for better decisionmaking
• Marketing technology infrastructure ownership (project management and implementation, governance and roadmap development), including collaboration
with IT, sales and other functions as needed
• Marketing data ownership/management, as well as alignment with relevant corporate data initiatives
• Marketing process leadership, working in conjunction
ABOUT YOU
Academic Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Professional Experience in year(s):6
IT Skills:
• Marketing automation platform (MAP)
• Marketing resource management (MRM)
• Sales force automation (SFA)
• Data management tools
• Social media measurement/monitoring/community tools
• Business intelligence (BI)
• Web analytics
• Project/resource management tools (if not part of MRM)
• Content management/Web content management/ asset management (if not part of MR
Additional Requirements/ Soft Skills:
• Stakeholder satisfaction with team's output
• Completion of regular tasks on time/on budget (e.g. delivery of routine marketing reports/dashboards, completion of annual budget)
• MBOs, including specific marketing operations team goals (e.g. selection and implementation of MAP, data quality objectives, percentage of marketing organization formally certified)
