SUMMARY
The Enterprise Data Office mission is to foster a companywide culture recognizing data as an enterprise asset. It is responsible for ensuring adherence to industry best practices for data management throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with technology infrastructure, data governance, and business verticals to ensure data contents, data lineage, data quality, data access, and adherence to data governance is present, maintained and adequately documented
• Liaison with industry working groups and industry experts to maintain a high level of awareness of, and be an advocate for, current and emerging data, technology and industry strategies and trends.
• Inventory and classify data elements throughout the firm, and then maintain the classification going forward
• Ensure CCAR readiness for data submissions and quality of the submissions
• Partner with data governance to inform the governance structure and to further socialize the governance framework throughout the institution
• Develop and implement an enterprise data management strategy
• Foster a companywide culture recognizing data as an enterprise asset
• Aggregate metadata throughout the company into a central location
• Act as subject matter expert to define how business verticals and enterprise data office processes interface with one another to create maximum business value and achieve business objectives.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners with special emphasis on business process owners, data owners, data custodians, data stewards, finance, and members of the Data Steering Committee
