Job Description
The Senior Director of Salesforce University in EMEA leads Salesforce University's mission to proliferate the depth and breadth of knowledge of Salesforce across all communities
to accelerate comprehension, adoption, and success with customers' Salesforce investments in EMEA. They will optimize and expand the education business, define sales and delivery strategies and be a passionate ambassador building key relationships internally such as with the regional Sales and Services organizations, Marketing, and the Partner Readiness teams.
In addition to being a strong leader, coach and mentor, s/he must be an excellent communicator who is highly motivated, passionate, and driven by the challenge of advancing a GEO-focused Education Sales and Delivery team, increasing sales, and meeting / exceeding other strategic program goals and objectives.
This position is responsible for leading a team comprising direct sales, management of reseller and delivery partners, schedule and resource planning, operations, user adoption services and instructor enablement. This position reports to the Vice President of Salesforce University.
Responsibilities
• Grow the capability and competency in the Salesforce ecosystem through effective training programs and initiatives to meet the growing needs of partners and customers
• Achieve or exceed financial targets (bookings, revenue, and margin) for the EMEA education business
• Ensure and drive alignment with field sales and partner team strategies to to drive license growth, increase product adoption as well as the proliferation of product/solution knowledge and expertise in the marketplace.
• Develop "go to market" strategy, including the design and optimization of channel mix (direct vs partner, for example), to achieve both financial and other strategic objectives for the EMEA education business.
• Develop, implement and drive business relationships with Salesforce Authorized Training partners to support the growth plans for EMEA education and related key strategic programs.
• Work in close partnership with EMEA Partner and Field enablement teams to deliver programs to ensure partner goals are achieved.
• Ensure consistently high quality and customer satisfaction in all aspects of education delivery (instructors, facilities, registration and administrative processes)
• In collaboration with HQ develop compensation and incentive plans for EMEA Education teams that align with geographical and global program goals.
• Effectively utilize resources in EMEA and at HQ to achieve an optimized EMEA Education sales and delivery model that accommodates specific regional and market needs, including marketing campaigns and events.
Qualifications
• BA/BS Degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• Proven record of sales/ services leadership in technology sector.
• Extensive experience leading education/training organization and learning programs; acknowledged subject matter expert in these disciplines.
• Strong financial background, including forecasting and modeling and preparation and analysis of financial statements; proven ability to plan, forecast, and manage resources.
• Results oriented, with a strong focus on execution; comfortable managing multiple critical projects and setting aggressive schedules and goals.
• Extensive experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organizational structure.
• Charismatic leader with strong executive presence; able to work well cross-functionally and cross-culturally and influence a broad range of internal and external audiences.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Strong balance of strategic and tactical skills.
• An enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating leader who is visibly passionate and is capable of inspiring and galvanizing an organization.
• Must be fluent in English with additional language skills being an advantage.
Travel
• Ability to travel within EMEA up to 50% of the time with occasional global trips.
