Director, Global Security Services

Position Description:
The Director, Global Security Services will provide expert leadership, strategic guidance, and operational management to the organization's global physical security operations team. Candidates will have a proven ability to infuse innovation and creativity into strategic planning with a focus on programs that provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Direct day to day operations for all components of the global security services program to include:
• Campus Security - Direct a global program of contracted guard services in execution of business requirements including enforcement of corporate security standards; ensure performance of the security contractors as measured by SLA's, KPI's, and other indicators
• Security Operations Center - Provide leadership to our Global Operations Center team who manages the company's oversight of and response to incidents involving all company assets and operations 24/7
• Protective Intelligence - Maintain a global risk assessment and travel security program to provide expert level pre-travel advice and on-the-ground security support to international business travelers as needed
• Investigations - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to direct investigations into breaches of security as well as company policies and procedures
• Site Security Audits - Manage physical security audits for a leased office space portfolio and third party data centers to ensure company security standards are being met
• Workplace Violence Prevention - Direct an enterprise-wide program focused on preventing, tracking and responding to instances of workplace violence
Other Responsibilities:
• Mentor and direct a diverse team of regional and global program leaders in support of organizational objectives
• Identify, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners to ensure success of the security services programs
• Provide expert leadership to security related incidents impacting the people, brand and property of the company
• As a member of the Corporate Security & Safety leadership team, express a desire and curiosity to engage in areas outside of physical security to collaborate with team members on business continuity, health & safety and security systems programs
Key Competencies, Skills and Knowledge:
• A proven track record of working collaboratively with subject matter experts on cross-functional teams, balancing disparate priorities, and rapid problem solving in high-demand situations
• An executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship building skills; effective at building trust and the ability to deal direct with every level of company management
• Ability to create professional presentations using PowerPoint
• Ability to think critically through the intricacies of complex situations with a knack for persuasion, negotiation, and inspirational leadership
• Familiarity with Lenel is a plus
• Interview and interrogation techniques
• Project management skills with a proven ability to achieve results
• Strong intellect with a balance of strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Diplomacy in dealing with company personnel, sometimes in sensitive situations is essential
Required Skills/Experience:
• 10+ years progressive experience in private sector corporate security (may substitute some law enforcement or military experience)
• Prior leadership experience in a corporate environment with a broad knowledge of security matters and legal principles strongly preferred
• Proven track record of advancement and success in previous roles
• Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required
• Willingness to travel globally up to 40% of the time
