Los Angeles based, Internet Brands, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Product Management in its Travel Vertical. The Director of Product Management will manage all aspects of product development/management of Internet Brand’s travel sites. We are looking for a creative leader who can provide the direction needed for creating world-class consumer experiences. The Director will work closely with Engineering and Business to bring the strategic vision to life.
Responsibilities:
• Understand traveler information needs and how they want to access the information.
• Develop product road map that creates great consumer experiences and business growth.
• Work with Managing Editor to establish and execute daily editorial strategy across all sites.
• Leverage available data to ensure both quality and quantity standards are maintained.
• Work closely with engineering team to deliver great product.
• Understand consumer and customer needs so product vision solves real problems and provides real value.
• Coordinating ongoing site management and product development, identifying feature enhancements, coordinating various sources of site content, and overseeing the nature of various online communities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years leading product and content development teams, with demonstrated experience of developing innovative solutions.
• Experience with leading competitive research, customer research and survey methods.
• Internet industry management experience, ideally with consumer-oriented web sites including online communities and user-generated content.
• Demonstrated record of launching successful consumer products for desktop and mobile.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Prior experience in user experience or user interaction design.
• Expertise in digital monetization strategies, with a history of developing highly-monetizing products.
• Strong sense of user-centered design and well implemented user experiences.
