Our product manager will play an important role in building relationships with SteelBrick's customers by developing a deep understanding of their needs in order to represent the customer perspective internally. We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who can manage multiple projects at a time, works well under pressure and is excited to work in a fast paced environment. To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience doing industry research under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the end to end product lifecycle of SteelBrick's CPQ product. This includes market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, release planning, requirements gathering, functional specification all the way through to customer enablement and success.
• Work very closely with development, QA, user experience, documentation and other product teams to execute the SteelBrick CPQ product strategy.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering teams overseas on different time zones
• Leverage market analysis, competitive knowledge, and customer research to define product roadmap
• Engage directly with customers during pre-sales and post-sales implementations to ensure the product will help them reach their desired business outcomes
• Translate customer requirements and use cases into functional designs.
• Perform the role of a champion to promote and evangelize the product and new features with marketing, sales, support, professional services, partners, and customers.
• Present your product and roadmap to customer executives in our world-class executive briefing center.
• Create compelling demos for internal and external use
Experience / Skills Required
• 7+ years of relevant product management experience in a technology company
• Domain expertise in building and designing CPQ features.
• Gathering and transforming business requirements and market needs into successful product strategy
• Enough technical proficiency to successfully partner with and lead engineering in the build out of our products
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to create functional designs, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts for new product ideas and marketing events
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Agile methodology and API experience
Experience / Skills Desired
• Cloud computing experience is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of Salesforce products and APIs is a plus
• Experience in business software or related Internet industries preferred
• MBA is a plus
