Brand Communications at Audible:
Audible's Marketing Communications group has one of the more enviable tasks in marketing: grow and engage a wildly passionate community of smart, curious-minded audiobook lovers. Operating as brand champions and performance marketers, the Marketing Communications team creates content, programs, and advertising assets – for both internal and external usage - across earned, owned, and paid platforms.
About the Role:
Reporting to the VP Creative & Marketing Communications, the Associate Creative Director will collaborate with UX, Product and Marketing professionals to craft messaging and experiences that communicate the value proposition of Audible’s core offering, products and features, in an effective, compelling and brand appropriate manner. In the role of Associate Creative Director you will be directly responsible for leading/inspiring a team of creatives in the delivery of communications that meet our business goals and metrics. Through a focus on constant learning and optimization across all associated surfaces and devices, this role touches all aspects of the Audible brand, and associated Amazon products, such as Echo and Kindle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of brand appropriate communications and experiences for Audible products and features.
• Lead and inspire a team of designers and copywriters in creating effective communications and experiences that drive customer interest, loyalty and engagement.
• Build and maintain messaging systems to drive a cohesive member experience.
• Collaborate with UX, Product Marketing, and Channel Marketing to develop creative strategies, based on insight into Audible customer insights, needs, and behaviors.
• Communicate and present your team’s work appropriately to all levels in the organization
• Maintain a “test & learn” approach with an eye towards constant iteration and optimization
• Leverage data to inform and guide your design decisions
• Utilize insights into evolving digital behaviors and industry beacons to ensure best-in-class experiences
About You:
• You are a designer or copywriter at heart but your understanding of front- and back-end technologies ensure your solutions are feasible and practical.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years working within a consumer oriented product design team (preferred), or worked as a member of a creative team serving a membership/subscription business
• Good sense of taste, style, and a practical use of typography, photography, and illustration to delight the user within the consumer and mobile space
• Able to lead individual projects from concept to completion, in parallel with other projects while maintaining a flexible process
• Practical knowledge of Mac, iOS, and Android platform
• Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Prototyping tools such as InVision, Proto.io, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design systems
• Confident using data and customer insight to inform design decisions
• Excellent writing skills, efficient and effective collaborator, open mind, and professional attitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A portfolio of brand identity creation, campaigns, and digital experiences; both as a leader and a creative
• Solid understanding of digital design, traditional design processes, and design and technology trends.
• Ability to show collaboration across multiple disciplines such as marketers, product owners, strategists, planners, etc.
• Optimism and tenacity in the face of challenges and internal processes and self-starter that is comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience as a thought-leader within the context of digitally lead brands; detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills, layout, typography and high graphic standards.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
