WeWork’s Global Security and Safety Team is currently in search of a Director, Security Operations, who is proficient and highly experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate security, incident response, preliminary investigations, training, risk assessments, trend identification and analyses, root cause analyses, security systems.
As the Director, Security Operations you will be involved in multiple projects from start to finish, working with a variety of internal departments as well as various regional security teams. In addition, you must utilize a project management process to ensure Regional priorities are met, Global projects are completed, best practices are identified and standards developed, and implemented.
Responsibilities
• Provide guidance and direction to Regional Security teams on critical incidents and assist with preliminary investigations and responses
• Implement a metrics driven system to analyze trends concerning incidents, thefts, and technology-related issues and utilize this information to improve performance
• Determine root cause of identified trends and make recommendations for remediation
• Monitor headcount metrics for regional growth and ensure that staffing is optimal in conjunction with Regional Management
• Assist Regional Management with interviewing and selecting security staff
• Operationalize on-going site assessment program that will capture potential risk as well as the current baseline of security deployed at both the base building and within WeWork space (Site Security Profile)
• Operationalize best practice for security operations and develop plans to implement same at Regional levels
• Work in conjunction with Global Crisis and Emergency Management and Regional Security Directors or counterparts to ensure Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is up to date, relevant and accurate and available at all locations
• Operationalize with Regional Security Directors or counterparts the required testing/drilling of Community Teams, Fire Wardens, EAP’s or equivalent positions in accordance with local regulations
• Operationalize and deliver security and safety specific training
• Work with Regional Security and Community Teams to develop a process and plan for local events to ensure adequate security and safety coverage is provided and compliant with local laws.
• Drive projects to completion while being sympathetic to other Regional priorities.
