One of the primary roles of this position will be supporting SOX control reviews. The SOX auditor performs internal control testing of the company's business processes and financial applications to evaluate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. The other focus of this position is to assist Allstate’s external auditors with specific control testing. This involves taking direction from the external auditors to assess the control attributes, evaluate findings, and provide a conclusion on the adequacy of controls.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage assigned audit tasks to achieve department deliverables within established timetables while producing high quality work.
• Conduct preliminary analysis and risk assessment of assigned operational units or functional areas.
• Draft high quality workpapers and ensures support and conclusions are well documented in accordance with department standards.
• Interact with unit management and personnel throughout the assignment to compile necessary information and discuss audit findings and recommendations.
• Follow-up on control deficiencies/issues, review recommendations and validate remediation plans.

• Intermediate Project Management skills - Able to set project timeframes (for self) to meet project objectives with minimal oversight.
• Basic knowledge of auditing concepts, business knowledge/experience a plus.

• Basic critical thinking and problem-solving skills around business processes, controls, and deficiencies.
• Proficiency in business-related computing applications (e.g., Microsoft Office applications).
Qualifications include:
• 2+ years of SOX, audit, or related experience
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required - major preference of Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology
