Senior Client Strategist's are expected to have a thorough understanding of all BNY Mellon product offerings and understand the commercial capabilities BK can provide to clients. The product offerings that are included, but not limited to, are private banking, investment management, fiduciary offerings, and trust administration. The Sr. Client Strategist is expected to know key competitors in the market and their competitive offerings to the extent the information is public. The incumbent is also expected to understand the differentiators between BNY Mellon and its competitors. Additionally, the individual should stay informed of key trends in the market to be able to provide clients with the most relevant and innovative solutions. The Sr. Client Strategist is also expected to have expertise in understanding a sales process and the key steps involved with acquiring new clients as well as work closely with the Wealth Manager to seamlessly transition new clients relationships. The individual also is required to effectively partner with Wealth Managers and the subject matter experts to ensure that every possible solution is being provided to meet the client needs.The Sr. Client Strategist is expected to have a thorough understanding of all potential solution offerings, but is not the subject matter expert on all solutions. The individual needs to be able to thoroughly understand the challenges clients face and what solutions BNYM can provide to them. The individual should have a thorough understanding of different challenges clients may face depending on what stage of life the client is in and potential solutions that can be provided. The Sr. Client Strategist is expected to be a innovative problem solver and share their solutions with peers to ensure BNYM is best positioning all clients across all markets. The solutions provided will vary depending on the clients needs and geographic position and the Sr. Client Strategist needs to build the relationship as a trusted advisor to the client while also leveraging the broader team. The Sr. Client Strategist's success has an immediate impact on the business depending on their ability to assist in the organic growth of revenue. Every interaction with clients including decisions made and strategies set with the client should be established with the mindset to acquire new business and increase revenues through new and existing client relationships. The Sr. Client Strategist is expected to also play a senior role in their market, mentoring and advising less experienced members of the team. The Sr. Client Strategist is expected to be able to effectively influence their clients and have strong communication, technology, and relationship building skills. The individual is expected to be a presence in the local community and build a professional network that will create oppurtunity for revenue growth. The individuals are expected to be a BNYM representative at all times during networking events and constantly looking for opportunity to meet new clients leveraging a strategic sales practice. Internally it is expected that the individual be a partner to the Wealth Managers and subject matter experts creating a collaborative environment as the client relationships transition.
Qualifications
Individuals should possess 10+ years of sales experience, relationship management experience, and/or demonstrated the ability to be a strong producer of sales records in the Wealth Management industry. Successful candidates must have experience working with ultra-high net worth individuals and clients with substantial investable assets. Ability to analyze complex financial situations in order to propose the appropriate services to the prospect and the prospect's advisors. Undergraduate degree required. Additional certifications and advanced degree a plus.
