Job Description
Everest Global Services, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a Communications Specialist for their headquarters in Liberty Corner, New Jersey.
The Communications Specialist will create strategic internal communications and manage content on multiple communication platforms to engage employees across the organization using several channels including the company intranet, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, social media, events, email newsletters and other communications vehicles.
The Communications Specialist will partner with leaders across the organization to create compelling presentations and communications for a variety of internal audiences. The journalistic ability to ask the right questions to source stories from technology partners is critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Partner with technology project teams to ensure initiatives are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders in a timely manner, utilizing the Everest brand and organizational "voice" and style. Measure and report on engagement with content.
• Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, email newsletter, regular email announcements, etc.
• Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all channels and mediums and for different departments within the Everest Technology Services organization.
• Working with leaders to create marketing communications around company-wide initiatives, such as technology upgrades.
• Assist with management of the internal communications content distribution calendar.
• Assist with the planning and communicating of technology-focused employee events.
• Provides communications support to Everest leadership, particularly for PowerPoint presentations.
Work Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
• Entry level and recent graduates will be considered.
• 1+ years’ experience in communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office - most importantly PowerPoint
• Experience with photography and video shooting / editing.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design programs.
• Microsoft PowerPoint: 1 year (Required)
• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)
• Microsoft SharePoint: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)
