Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Database and Java Developer in New York, New York
Participate in requirements gathering, data administration, development, testing, modifying, productionizing, and supporting applications that control access to the Prime Brokerage suite of applications. Responsible for wide-scale interactions across different teams located in both New York and other parts of the world to provide increased functionality and solve internal and external entitlements issues. Develop and utilize understanding of the Prime Brokerage business, organization of account set-ups, and the functioning of various businesses within the firm, and firm systems entitled by this team.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as a Developer, Programmer, Project Manager, IT Consultant, or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: DB2 LUW with DPF Feature; Sybase ASE; SQL Stored Procedure Creation; SQL Query Tuning; relational modeling; core Java and J2EE with Spring; IBM MQ; Unix; and Shell scripting. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Autosys; Java build tools including Ant, Ivy, and Gradle; unit testing frameworks including Junit, Mockito, and PowerMock; multi-threaded design and implementation; and n-tier application design and implementation.
