Job Summary
Engages with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to help facilitate agile transformation across the enterprise. Helps to increase agile adoption by proactively identifying IT efforts that can be transitioned to agile projects and prepares the infrastructure needed to support the transition. Plays a critical role in training, coaching and mentoring agile teams on agile values, principles, practices, frameworks and tools. Shares experiences and observations with teams and other enterprise groups to continuously improve performance of the teams, processes and practices.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate adoption of agile values and principles across the enterprise, and influence leadership and associates on the culture change required to shift from a traditional to agile mindset.
Provide guidance on achieving high levels of Agile maturity while complying with defined Agile Core Principles and enterprise frameworks
Responsible for definition, adoption and optimization of agile framework, processes and practices
Define several training curriculum and create training materials needed. Conduct stand-up trainings and other on the job and just in time trainings
Coach and mentor agile teams, program level and portfolio level teams
Train and coach the teams on all aspects of planning and execution including user story creation, story mapping, release planning, agile events, progress monitoring and continuous improvement
Create required visibility and communicate success stories of agile teams by creating and maintaining collaborative communication sites and tools
Provide feedback from teams’ retrospectives to the Enterprise Agility Office for improvement
Define and roll out agile metrics and assist with the identification, collection and reporting on metrics and make recommendations for improvement to respective stakeholders across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and six to eight years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in transitioning teams from traditional mode to agile
Minimum of two years of coaching multiple agile teams
Certified Scrum Master with two years of experience as Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner with two years of experience as Product Owner
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) (preferred)
Certified LeSS Practitioner or Safe Program Consultant (SPC) or Disciplined Agilist (preferred)
Job Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of SDLC and several software development methodologies
Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean Thinking
Scaling frameworks like LeSS, SAFe and DAD
Product Backlog Refinement
Software development
Software project management
VersionOne
Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, continuous delivery, pair programming, test driven development, etc.)
IT application development
