This position will plan, execute and finalize medium to large, highly-complex projects within the Commercial Line of Business. This includes coordinating the efforts of cross-functional team members within Core Commercial, Operations Credit, and Information Technology in order to deliver projects within strict deadlines and budget. As a function of managing these projects, this position will be responsible for establishing and successfully executing a well defined project plan that meets the scope, goals and deliverables as defined by project stakeholders.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
• Management of projects in adherence to the Commerce Bank Project Methodology
• Translation of business requirements into specifications for technical and non-technical project members
• Project planning and task identification
• Issue management and escalation
• Coordination of testing efforts across all parties
• Status reporting to project sponsors and business line management
Work Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm); Additional as required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related discipline is preferred
Experience:
• PMI Certification is preferred
• Agile project management experience is desired
• 4+ years of proven and direct experience in full life-cycle project management
• Proven success in managing projects that cross multiples lines of business, including Information Technology
• An understanding of Commercial Banking products, including Treasury Services and/or International Services is desirable
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks without the need for direct supervision
• Demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of team members, including vendors, management and other departments
A successful candidate will also have the following:
• An aptitude for problem resolution
• Excellent written and oral skills
• An ability to work with all levels: clerical, managerial, customers and vendors
• Excellent skills in the use of PCs: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Project
