This role is for an experienced IT governance professional who will ensure access for employees and clients to applications and systems adheres to access policies set forth by AACC and aligns with role-based requirements. The access manager collaborates with IT and business functions to ensure access management policies are followed and access-related business risk is minimized.The IT access manager belongs to a team of IT governance professionals who manage various aspects of IT governance and service management. RESPONSIBILITIES Policy Adherence
• Enforce access management policies, processes and procedures aligning with the mission of the firm
• Enhance/maintain role-based access requirements for firm
• Understanding of access management processes and drive to ensure consistent access fulfillment.
• Validate whether requests and changes meet the requirements in the authorization matrices and entitlements in contracts. Escalate when in doubt or in the case of high-privileged access (HPA) and non-personal accounts.
Collaboration
• Participate in long-term initiative to automate access requests and fulfillment in global enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool (SailPoint), collaborating with both US and global functions
• Keep management informed of ongoing activities.
• Communicates with project managers and line managers in order to align expectations on access control for new/changed applications.
• Educating staff on processes for access management where needed.
Tool Ownership
• Ownership and enhancement of access management workflow tools
Process and Access Request Audits
• Gather and ensure technical documentation and procedures for IT access control processes are current.
• Obtain and validate data necessary for completing periodic access reviews. Work closely with Operational Risk Control, Local Information Security Officer and line managers to perform periodic access reviews and protect AACC from the risk of unauthorized access and meet audit requirements.
• Ensure completeness and quality of access control audit evidence.
• Evaluate authorization requests (joiners, movers, leavers/high-privileged access). Evaluate application changes with impact on user access
Issue and Incident Management
• Evaluate, as a subject matter expert, access-related incidents.
• Own end-to-end access-related incident management and resolution to minimize impact of unauthorized access changes, ensuring communication to relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
• Classify, log and escalate incidents using the AACC incident management procedures.
• Identify issues with system access in accordance with access policies.
Continuous improvement
• Continuously monitor the access control processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop, explain and implement (after decision making) solutions that improve the services delivery
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree/experience
• 4+ years’ experience working in IT
• 2+ years’ experience working within an IT governance, IT operations or process management role; access management a plus
• Knowledge of IT governance, specifically information security and access management
• Able to collaborate with diverse teams and staff of all levels
• Demonstrated ability to create clear & concise documentation
• Detail oriented
• Deadline focused
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, including ability to tailor communication to audience for maximum results
• Able to work independently
• Knowledge of COBIT control framework
• Experience working in a regulated and/or financial industry a plus
• Thorough understanding of industry best practices in regard to access management
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• ITIL certified
• Proficient with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Proficient with wiki tools
• Knowledge of Access Management and Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
• Experience with Jira a plus
• Experience with SailPoint a plus
