Opportunity Overview
The Trust Services department currently has two openings, one supporting the Service team and the other supporting the Business Development team. Cross-collaboration between the two areas is common, and both roles require talented individuals and strong communicators capable of helping the firm achieve its vision.
These positions are responsible for the servicing of incoming contacts from Edward Jones Trust Company clients and branch teams. The trust service specialist will support the goals of the firm by providing excellent service to our clients and branches while maintaining fiduciary and regulatory standards. This position supports the Trust Team in the administration and daily activities of all account types in the Trust Company including but not limited to estate settlement, specialist assets, and other trust administration needs.
This individual is responsible for:
• Reviewing trust agreements and other documents for the establishment and closing of the accounts
• Communication with clients, branches and other parties;
• Reviewing of bills, fees, income receipts, distributions and other client requests;
• Participation on various Trust Company wide projects;
• Partnering with Trust Operations and other areas as needed for the client experience.
• Supporting the team in growing the business.
• Coordination and scheduling annual review, new account and adhoc calls with branch teams and clients;
• Responsible for ensuring continuous client service by collaborating with other Trust Company teams, scheduling and monitoring coverage of phones;
• Receiving incoming contacts via phone or service request, seeking first call resolution or connecting with the appropriate area to resolve the inquiry;
• Answer basic branch inquiries on estate planning concepts and trust services;
• Participation on various Trust Company wide projects;
• Supporting the New Business and Service team in developing business for the Trust Company.
Position Requirements
• High school degree required. Associate's degree or related professional degree strongly preferred;
• Minimum 1 year Trust Administration, Legal, or Financial Planning experience required. Previous financial services experience preferred;
• Ability to work with varying priorities and direction from multiple parties;
• Must anticipate needs of clients and Trust Officers and take initiative to identify, follow up on and complete work;
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative professional team environment;
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with clients, branch teams, other associates and external professionals;
• Organizational skills are critical;
• Should be able to work with multiple systems and tools.
