SENIOR DATA ANALYST
Job Summary
This newly-created role requires a balance of technical experience in dealing with data, data sources and reporting platforms (Tableau), business acumen, and the ability to create intuitive reports, insights and actionable intelligence. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, unconventionally curious and an excellent communicator able to work with technical and non-technical people at various levels of the organization.
Key analytics initiatives in the first 90 days include:
• Space utilization data analytics with potential for global scope
• Furniture warehouse and distribution center data collection and dashboarding to highlight cost saving strategies and lean inventory initiatives
• Gathering, verifying and analyzing comprehensive headcount data from various sources globally
The Senior Data Analyst will
• Initiate conversations with key stakeholders to understand business problems, situations and opportunities where data analytics and reporting can be utilized to improve decision making and operational results
• Aggregate, cleanse and analyze data from disparate sources and provide interpretation, insights, and trends
• Design reports and dashboards that make information accessible, approachable and actionable
• Develop efficient reporting delivery strategies including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving data integrity
• Assist in identifying and calculating key metrics for affecting operational improvements
• Implement and support governance policies and processes for consistent and accurate source data
• Identify and bring innovative solutions to gaps in existing data and technology
• Create, manage and socialize a data dictionary for consistent terminology and understanding of metrics across organization
• Build knowledge of the organization, processes, datasets, and stakeholder needs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in data, statistics, math, business, computer science or related field
• 5+ years in relevant work experience in analytics and data
• Strong technical skills including advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python or other languages useful for data aggregation, manipulation and sharing
• Experience working with executives and stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to sift through data, perform analysis, identify critical information, and develop solution options is essential
• Knowledge of real estate industry and real estate technology helpful
• Statistical knowledge and experience a plus
