The Billing Supervisor is a results-oriented professional who supervises a team that installs contracted pricing into the billing system to accurately invoice customers as well as other related billing tasks such as system balancing, auditing and the clearing of suspended transaction. The position requires high output, strong analytical ability, good relationship building skills and a “can do” attitude. The candidate must have the ability to excel in a fast paced environment with deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently and work self-sufficiently. They must be personally accountable for results and have the motivation and ability to deliver results. Must be able to work well with others and always maintain a professional and positive attitude. Must have the ability to analyze data, dissect complex issues, identify the root causes that lead to errors, draw conclusions and recommend solutions in a timely manner. They must be able to build strong relationships in a collaborative effort, be a liaison for inter-department initiatives/escalations and review and resolve billing issues with appropriate internal departments.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage and mentor a billing team, read and interpret contracts as well as what is entered into the system from a pricing perspective.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years Billing experience
• Must have experience managing, mentoring and training others as a Manager/Supervisor in the billing department of a large, matrix organization, multi-unit shared service center
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Access and Visual Basic required
• Excel proficiency should include pivot tables, v/h lookups, and macros
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Comfortable transitioning between multiple tasks
• Adjusts well to changing situations and priorities
• Detail oriented, focused on data integrity and accuracy
• Focus on details and have excellent analytical skills
• Strong observational and analytical skills to determine root problems, then utilize different perspectives and multiple sources of information to solve complex problems within the billing system capabilities and established guidelines
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Oracle billing systems and/or BillTrust invoicing
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience using Agile Methodology
• Project management
