Job Description:
At Regions, the Inbound Database Marketing Administrator provides decision support and direct marketing campaign execution to support marketing needs for the company.
Primary Responsibilities
• Implements and supports existing, new or changing inbound, real-time marketing interaction strategies and rules which leverage marketing database systems and processes
• Uses IBM Interact and SQL to create targeted marketing offers
• Works with marketing Strategy, Marketing Technology, and other operations/IT teams in support of inbound marketing initiatives (or related marketing data)
• Provides direct marketing campaign decision support and develops comprehensive campaign requirements/specifications
• Confirms accurate and complete understanding of requirements and seek clarification where needed
• Designs, builds, audits (quality control), and deploys marketing campaigns to specifications within expected timeframes
• Ensures marketing offers are provided to downstream operational systems
• Acts as subject matter and data expert
• Develops standards to streamline campaign development
• Monitors and track system and marketing interaction performance using established key metrics and performance indicators
• Reviews ongoing outcomes of business logic/strategy and next best action presentment and disposition volumes and metrics
• Ensures correctness and quality of campaigns
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, MIS, Marketing or related field
• One (1) year practical experience with layered systems architectures and multi-tier solutions/designs; data flow between applications using web services, APIs and ETL; all phases of the software development life cycle
• Four (4) years of experience querying relational databases such as Oracle and performing data analysis
Preferences
• One (1) year of practical experience in coding, testing, and implementing campaign data initiatives using real time decision-making marketing technology such as IBM Interact or Pega Customer Decision Hub or Oracle Real Time Decisions
• Four (4) years of experience in database marketing working with campaign strategies and execution
• SAS certified Base Programmer, SAS Certified Advanced Programmer, or IBM Interact Advanced Topics 9.x
Skills and Competencies
• Solid understanding of database marketing techniques and complex relational database systems
• Knowledge of financial services industry, products, services, and data
• Solid knowledge of IBM Campaign workflow processes
• Solid knowledge of IBM Interact workflow processes
• Proficient with SQL
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Good communication skills; ability to speak efficiently with both business and technical stakeholders
