JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate degree in business, finance, or related field strongly preferred
• 3 – 5 years experience in SBA lending administration.
• Good analytical skills with problem solving abilities
• Candidate must be very organized, detailed-oriented, and proactive with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to spread an analyze business and personal financial statements and cash flow, gather relevant information, and make appropriate recommendations
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and mitigating factors for each loan request
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – must be able to write clearly and effectively; must be able to communicate one-on-one and in groups; must be able to effectively communicate loan decisions to bankers and others
• Self-starter, ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to assume responsibility and maintain accountability for decision making
• Ability to make sound loan decisions in a timely manner
• Knowledge of SBA loan programs preferred
• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of 360 View, Navigator, Director, Statement Analyzer,
• Knowledge of UCB credit policies and procedures
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Evaluate and decision loan renewal requests
• Actively manage past dues by working with bankers to minimize late payments and renew matured loans
• Review portfolio loans approaching maturity and work with bankers to get the necessary data in order to make an informed renewal decision
• Assist management with the administration of the existing portfolio
• Manage the scoring and monitoring system for red flags and early warning signals of potential problem loans and working with the bankers to devise an appropriate plan of action
• Work with Loan Closing Specialist and bankers to clear exceptions
• Assist bankers with CARs as necessary
• Look for cross-sell opportunities
• Conduct annual reviews of all borrowing relationships within the portfolios supported
• Other duties as assigned
