ABO Finance team is a centrally managed Finance & Metrics organization that is locally delivered to each major service area within ABO; our team provides meaningful financial and operational metric analysis, insights and consultation to senior leadership to help influence and achieve desired business results. The Senior Consultant II will analyze and communicate financial results for key products, markets and initiatives in an agile and creative manner. Develop compelling story lines, deepen client insights and recommend creative actions that guide strategy and operations. Formulate financial projections to predict and track performance, diagnose potential issues and prompt corrective actions. Ensure Allstate Brand Operations’ credibility and reputation of high quality (accurate, timely, relevant) financial measurement, reporting, planning and consulting.
• Partners with ABO Leadership to develop economic analyses for key initiatives, investments & strategy
• Liaison between ABO and ONE Finance (Treasury & Planning, Accounting, 360Finance, etc.)
• Track financial performance and formulate projections while monitoring trends and issues that leads to timely escalation and course corrections
• Develop sound financial models and cost benefit analysis ensuring success of key strategic investments and business transformation in support of the overall organizational goals
• Safeguard credibility and reputation of high quality financial metrics leveraging emerging visual analytic tools and techniques
Key Responsibilities:
• Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business recognizing how different data points fit together and integrating cross functional knowledge and/or sources
• Build in-depth storyline and drive conversations with leadership to understand business implications of current trends
• Manage moderately complex analysis projects and financial models addressing ambiguous business issues
• Collaborate with business partners to identify emerging issues and assist in implementation of strategies
• Generate accurate and timely reports while enhancing visual analytic capabilities with use of enterprise technology solutions and techniques
• Set priorities and cadence to financial analysis timeframes for self and team members while integrating with other timelines
• Mentor new team members providing intuitive onboarding/training plans, guided solutions to problems, and frequent check-ins
• Inspire trust and confidence in clients through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships
Job Qualifications
• A minimum of 3+ years of financial analysis experience in an Insurance or Financial Services organization
• Analytical skills to compile information requiring combinations of data from multiple sources, the ability to work with numbers and descriptive statistics that leads to actionable insights
• Solid work ethic, including ability to follow-up, focus on details and take initiative
• Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement - personally and with work assignments
• Oral and written communication skills, able to work effectively across multiple functional teams
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
• Advanced time management skills and organization skills with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
• Cutting-edge PC applications skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word); programming and/or database management skills preferred
• Expense Management, Real Estate, and Human Capital Analytics experience is a plus
• SAP, BPC, Analysis for Office, R, Python, and Tableau experience is a plus
• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business or related area of study
