Position Overview
Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for an Automation Testing Professional to lead and support quality assurance. We are seeking a motivated individual who can provide hands on test automation and understands Agile practices independently lead the Testing solution delivery of single/multiple project(s). The individual would champion quality assurance that improves Test delivery processes and be able to work alongside of highly collaborative, open minded, technology savvy members
Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories
Execution
• Provides proactive approach, comprehensive documentation and continual assessment of testing delivery across projects
• Identify opportunities to enable test efficiencies
• Enable technical transformation within the team moving from a manual testing approach to automation as needed
• Drive the team to become more adaptable in quality assurance through test automation, and Continuous Testing practices
• Work closely with developers, business and vendor partners to drive and promote technical design in all our testing processes
• Experience working as part of a successful Agile/Scrum team delivering test automation
• Strong desire to learn new concepts and build solutions to infuse quality and enable faster delivery
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge and experience with automation concepts, tools, and techniques
• Experience in working with test automation delivery
• Experience understanding automation frameworks
• Strong Programming skills required (preferably Java) - Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, databases, development, and testing methodologies
• Solid knowledge of industry standard automation test tools like Selenium, Protractor etc.,
• Expertise in working with DevOps implementation and good knowledge of CI tool Jenkins is a nice-to-have
• Cloud knowledge and experience are nice-to-have
Communication and Reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential because collaboration with project members, stakeholders are critical
• Establish, manage, and report on key quality metrics
• Leadership skills with the ability to represent to various stakeholders when needed is a nice-to-have
Qualifications
• Minimum 4 to 6 year(s) of experience using Test Management, Defect Tracking, Requirements Management, and Modeling tools, including automated testing tools framework experience.
• BS in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills may be obtained

• Experience in understanding the architecture of complex applications.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills and experience with Testing delivery.
• Strong knowledge of databases (Sybase, DB2 UDB, SQL Server, Oracle etc).
• Comfortable working with middle and senior management
• Mortgage and/or Financial services industry experience
• Mainframe experience.
• Certification in ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) and or CSTE (Certified Software Tester) is desirable
