Summary:
The internship within the HUB PMO is an opportunity to learn about Project Management and Information Technology. You’ll work on various projects that will provide a hands-on experience using Project Management methodology, business analysis, quality assurance, and requirements gathering. The opportunity will give you a chance to hone your problem solving and communication skills in a fast paced business environment with an energetic group of experienced Project Managers.
Major Responsibilities:
• Support project managers in organizing and managing project schedules and activities
• Assist in creating and updating documentation and other deliverables
• Coordinate aspects of user testing, prepare test cases, and participate in actual testing
• Conduct special studies in conjunction with a project, analyze data and make recommendations based upon the findings
• Support the identification and documentation of scope, resources, risk, issues.
Requirements:
• Must be willing to work 37.5 hours per week, for up to 3 months, during normal business hours; can be flexible with scheduling
• Must currently be enrolled in a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university and maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA (3.5 GPA for graduate students)
• Must be comfortable working with proprietary information and be able to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work with large data sets
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Project Management skills
• Very well organized
• Self-sustaining
Preferred Qualifications:
• Collaborative. Use interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility. Easily adapt to varied roles on teams and be able to change approach to best fit the situation.
• Self-Directed: Must be able to complete projects with limited supervision. Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.
• Interested in technology and project management
• High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
• Strong oral and written communication skills
