Grant Thornton is seeking a Manager to join its Operations Transformation service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide line managers with objectively-based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of operations and management with a wide variety of assignments.
Analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting goals and objectives.
Advise on the distribution of work among positions and organizations and appropriate staff levels and skills mix.
Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations.
Analyzing management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems, including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.
Identify and develop data required for use in the management and direction of programs.
Conduct studies of employee/organizational efficiency and productivity and recommending changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods and procedures
Review administrative audits and investigative reports to determine appropriate changes or corrective actions required.
Analyze and evaluate proposed changes in mission, operating procedures, and delegations of authority.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
Qualifications
Works with the client to secure stakeholder buy-in and adoption of new technology (eAcquisitions, Vendor Portal & SharePoint), organizational structures, and processes.
Facilitates organizational change management (OCM) by developing and implementing plans that focus on information, education, two-way communication, and measurement to solidify adoption of new tools, processes, and organizational constructs.
Tracks all open OCM items in Rally/Agile Central using a bi-weekly standup method. Works in conjunction with other stakeholders (Policy team, OFMS and Product Owners and Contractors) to implement OCM action items.
Works on sustaining the changes in the office by hosting weekly eAcquisitions Q&A meetings for the client. These check-ins offer two-way communication to the office to announce new system changes or process updates as well as the opportunity for the staff to ask questions, introduce risks and suggest future changes.
Develop comprehensive plans to successfully transition to new systems, processes and organization structures.
Use outreach and communications to inform, educate, gather feedback, and gain support of internal and external stakeholders so that changes are supported and executed.
Creates deliverables such as high level messaging for agency wide changes coming from OP such as PALT, Vendor Portal, eAcquisitions, and other special cases for procurement related announcements.
Creates weekly deliverable ‘eAcquisitions Weekly Update’ that is circulated to customers and OP to brief users as it relates to process changes, updates and new system functionality of eAcquisitions.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
