Purpose of Job
The Director Digital Product Management lead teams of Digital Product Managers responsible for digital strategy, ideation, definition and development of new products, services or features which evolve the digital experience for USAA and maintain existing experiences. Oversees highly complex or strategic initiatives typically requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility. Collaborates with traditional Product Management teams and business stakeholders to lead a team responsible for tackling complex and challenging problems to enhance the digital experience, developing and delivering innovative offerings to market. Sets vision for experience and interface design and leads team to implement multi-platform and/or omni-channel solutions.
The role oversees and develops Decision Science analyst, Business Information Analyst and Information Solutions Advisors that support Enterprise Experiences under the Enterprise Data and Insights organization. The goal is to provide to be the data and analytic support for these experiences.
We are currently seeking a talented Director of Digital Product Management for our San Antonio,TX location.
Job Requirements
• Leads and sustains a team of high performing professionals that deliver exceptional results.
• Selects, develops and supports team in the attainment of project goals and objectives. Creates conditions to succeed by empowering the team, providing timely coaching and feedback, and facilitating professional development and challenging opportunities.
• Manages day-to-day activities of digital product team or unit.
• Ensures product and servicing plans and goals are met, as applicable. Responsible for digital product management activities for a program or product group, or for a major market segment or "vertical" market.
• Manages resources to ensure optimum efficiency and effective delivery.
• Develops and leads team and stakeholders to develop and define product strategy and roadmap to deliver a best-in-class technology solution.
• Maintains, optimizes and elevates the practice of digital product management, through best-in-class practice, training and in continuing to mature the discipline at an Enterprise level.
• Improves the overall work of team by injecting strategic and innovative thinking in digital product and service solutions.
• Guides teams in implementing data-driven and user-centered methodologies to optimize digital experiences across dotcom, mobile and emerging platforms to drive KPIs.
• Guides team in developing best-in-class processes to collect data, member feedback, derive insights, and inform product decisions.
• Collaborates with and influences senior leaders, product managers, developers, vendors, designers and other stake holders to ensure successful product strategies and product/ feature launches.
Minimum Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Human Centered Design, or a related field required OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 8 or more years relevant business experience, including 3 or more years in a digital function.
• 3 or more years of direct team lead or leading matrixed or cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and leverage cross functional teams to develop and execute product strategy.
• Demonstrated solid business acumen combined with strong technical foundations Outstanding people management abilities, creates and sustains environment to succeed

Preferred Experience
• Business or leadership consultation experience
• Advanced User Experience design knowledge and user centered design expertise
• Demonstrated leadership across cross-functional teams to meet business goals
• Demonstrated ability to drive KPI improvements YOY
• Masters degree of Business Administration or other related field
• Progressive digital/mobile experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrix environment
• Background in financial services and/or consumer technology
• Demonstrated leadership skills that include influence, strong collaboration and ability to drive data driven/outcome focused results
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
