Chief Development Officer (CDO) / Head of Advisors
RSM US Wealth Management LLC is a federally registered Investment Advisor, and a wholly owned subsidiary of RSM US LLP. With Wealth Advisors and teams located in 25 offices across the United States, RSM US Wealth Management provides comprehensive financial planning, asset management and other investment advisory services to individuals, retirement plans, foundations, endowments and businesses.
Position Overview:
RSM US Wealth Management LLC is seeking a Chief Development Officer/Head of Advisors to join our team! The CDO will be a key member of National Leadership team, reporting to Wealth Management National Leader. This position will directly supervise Lead Wealth Advisors/Principals to ensure growth and business development metrics are met/exceeded while insuring the highest level of compliance with firm and regulatory policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities will include field staffing strategy/ development and expansion in to new market locations. This position will assist with defining metrics and measurements to quantify performance against goals and institutionalizes a system for obtaining and reporting those metrics and measurements. The CDO will also have direct field supervisory responsibilities, including office level operational structure, business acceptance and practice management. Ideally, this person will sit in Chicago, Minneapolis, or Charlotte – however, other locations will be considered as well.
Required Qualifications:
• 20+ years of experience in a regional or national RIA firm
• Strong ethical and professional standards with a strong understanding of RIA regulations
• Flexible and adaptable with strong team orientation
• Able to work independently while focusing on the goals and needs of the team
• Self‐motivated and able to prioritize work
• Able to travel as needed
• Strong Change Management skills
