Summary:
The Senior Accounting Consultant is responsible for the client month end close process, the preparation of internal financials and ensuring proper internal controls over the client’s assets. The Senior Accounting Consultant will also supervise the work of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Consultants for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Must be able to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform month end close process, including the reconciliation and/or review of bank and investment statements, fixed asset schedules, and other GL account reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within various client organizations, including client accounting software systems.
• Provide mentoring and training to staff level consultants
• Review work performed by Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable consultants to ensure proper coding and timely entry.
• Preparation of audit schedules, confirmation letters, etc.
• Perform other client responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Accounting Degree required; CPA preferred.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of audit experience.
• Ability to work independently on client assignments.
• Strong time management, organizational, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
