Your Focus
We’re looking for a Senior Manager Product Architect to join the Equifax Technology team. You will provide the technical thought leadership to the product team, bridging the gap between idea and delivery, advancing technologies/concepts and seeking cross business unit collaboration on solutions. You will develop a formal product catalog, contributing to a global catalog that will allow for teams to reuse services across the business units to expedite speed to delivery.
You will partner with your peers across Equifax to help define product strategy, working closely with business partners and engineering leaders. Clearly setting the product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms You will partner with corporate development to assess M&A opportunities to ensure they are a strategic fit across Equifax’s product offerings and develop plans on how they integrate within the technology stack.
You will also regularly assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, handle user problems and make trade-offs balancing business needs against constraints. Your passion, drive and intellect will encourage thoughtful behavior that maximizes value for customers and benefit to greater enterprise.
In this position, you will play a lead role in transforming the product strategy within our different business units. You will have strong collaborative skills, be able to influence, have strong technical skills, work effectively in a matrix organization, and overall be able to successfully partner with project management in different organizations and the different groups that will serve as product builders.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Product Architect, your key responsibilities will include:
• Interact with executive leadership, engineering, product management and multiple global partner teams to define, prioritize and deliver complex services and products
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide partner concern management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
• Owns product commitments and results to business
• Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels and maximize resources for the greater good of the customer
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with varied priorities
• Dedicatedly identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
• Work with key team members in product management and executive teams to define and develop global product strategies that enable and drive innovation and go-to-market efficiency.
• Lead multi-functional development on new technology from design through delivery
• Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
• Developing a long-term product strategy and roadmap for specific features
• Working closely with product management, engineering teams and business leaders to ensure the right priorities, roadmaps and deliverables
• Executing on several projects concurrently while balancing shifting priorities.
• Play a key role in the development and advancement of strategy and priorities
• Effectively communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development team
• Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement – including standard methodology research and presentation
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major
• MBA preferred
• 10+ years managing cross-functional technology products, projects or programs
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without having a formal reporting relationship.
• Experience in technology roles. You may have also worked in consulting and have strong eye for business.
• Technical fluency; comfort discussing or diving deep on technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members; understanding of the entire technology stack
• Strong analytical and quantitative skill
• Effective written and oral communications and presentations skills required, including being able to represent Equifax to clients and the market
• Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment.
• Deep attention to detail including precise and effective interpersonal communications, active listening, and proven ability to manage a variety of priorities simultaneously
• Comfortable presenting to an executive audience and commanding large, diverse cross-functional teams in a composed, poised and professional demeanor
• History of teamwork and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
