The Sr Analyst - Advisor Technology Risk is a high visibility position, responsible for engaging with LPL advisors, promoting a risk-aware security posture, assisting with technology risk assessments and maintaining advisor security awareness initiatives. A successful team member maintains security knowledge, alongside business and regulatory experience to ensure LPL advisors operate the technology of their business in a safe and secure manner.
This qualified professional will be organizing and documenting technology risk as it relates to policies and programs, cybersecurity regulations, and other requirements as necessary. The candidate will visit advisor offices as required, serving as a key team member in the LPL technology risk program. This individual will develop security questionnaires, security awareness content, as well as document potential risks to internal stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
• •Act as a liaison between technical resources, information security, communications and the advisor community
• •Promote an intuitive, informational and pleasurable experience for advisors as it relates to their technology and information security posture
• •Collection and analysis of advisor question responses, data points and documentation
• •Assists in developing and improving an information security assessment program designed to assess business partners and third-party controls
• •Supports information security reviews of internal business processes and stakeholders associated with advisor and investor data using LPL processes and standards through virtual or onsite assessments.
• •Documents technology risks to appropriate parties. Provides an escalation path for information security issues, incidents and enquiries.
• •Partner with business, legal and compliance departments to ensure assessments are planned and executed in consideration of critical timelines
• •Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standard and processes
• •Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of the Advisor Security Awareness Program.
• •Develop Information Security awareness content that supports related technology initiatives and benchmarks
Experience
• •Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Business, Technology, Communications or related field with 0-3 years of experience
• •Passion for technology and the information security field
• •Knowledge of several information security domains, such as: access management, encryption, network security, multi-factor authentication, or regulatory/compliance
• •Familiarization with NYDFS, CCPA and other security and privacy regulations
• •Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, willingness to take on challenges and adaptability to change.
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and multi-tasking. Strong presenter, with the ability to engage large audiences.
• •Problem Solving & Analysis.
• •Ability to work independently and contribute to team deliverables.
• •10% or more travel as required
