At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Manager will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Ensures that EHRM Program Executive Office (PEO) processes and standards are applied to all assigned product/projects.
• Provides support to address changes to product/project scope, schedule or funding.
• Develops methods to document and analyze proposed changes for presentation to Leadership for decision.
• Creating project plans to support EHRM Technology Integration Office (TIO) infrastructure projects, to include site and enterprise level plans, and integration and coordination of those plans with other TIO project plans.
• Identification and support of risk management to include using a risk register
• Understanding of Client Information Technology (IT) Operations (ITOPS) organization to include business processes around engineering and hardware buying and deployment
• Technical background in networking / system administration or similar
• Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
• Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
• Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
Qualifications
• B.S. in Info Systems, Comp. Sci. , Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Min 10 years of experience
• Experience with VA and the VA Office of Information and Technology
• Experience in IT project management, including risk management
• Must have experience with IT infrastructure and implementations, including development of site and enterprise level plans
• Technical background in networking/system administration or similar role
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
