As one of the global enterprise teams within American Express, Enterprise Digital & Analytics (EDA) works closely with colleagues in Global Consumer Services Group (GCSG), Global Corporate Payments (GCP), Global Merchant Services (GMS) and across the Blue-Box to drive growth, margin expansion and marketplace differentiation and to accelerate our digital strategy forward. The team develops and scales across the enterprise high-impact, mobile-centric and personalized digital experiences across the customer lifecycle and adapts to the evolving needs of our Card Members, merchants and partners.
Within EDA sits the Enterprise Digital Membership Experience (EDME) team which aims to deliver differentiated digital experiences for our Card Members through the web, mobile and push communication channels. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Development to lead the global development of our extended benefits portfolio, which includes experiences for dining, entertainment, shopping and more across our proprietary and partner markets.
Responsibilities include:
• Product ownership and strategic leadership of global benefit products with initial focus to shape the product vision and roadmap for dining, entertainment, shopping & network partnerships; managing the growth of these products by prioritizing user experience features, content feed integration, platform health activities as well as addressing defects and production issues based on a combination of site metrics, user input and stakeholder/market needs
• Partner with scrum teams as Product Owner and participate in scrum ceremonies: daily stand-up, sprint grooming, planning and the occasional big room planning
• Collaborate with other POs for prioritization into their backlogs as well as ensuring dependencies on either side are cleared
• Represent the Global Benefits web team in regular stakeholder meetings across the benefit pillars to align on decisions and evolution of products
• Provide web channel expert inputs into senior leadership discussions to help facilitate steering committee decisions and alignment
• Liaise with market leads to better understand local requirements as and when they are prioritized in the core product backlogs as well as providing support on issues with local versions
• Collaborate with a UX designers and copywriters to solve for customer journey roadblocks and enhancements
Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in one or more of the following areas: capabilities management, technology strategy, product development
• Experience of working within the relevant benefit domains such as entertainment, dining or shopping digital experiences.
• Strong understanding and a passion for product management and trends in digital space
• Proven ability to speak the language of both technology and marketing
• Ability to innovate with no pre-defined roadmap
• Strong partner/stakeholder management skills - proven ability to influence market stakeholders and senior leadership to understand needs and influence towards the right solution for the customer
• Strong organizational skills – detail-oriented and ability to juggle multiple deadlines and drive results across multiple projects
• Experience in Jira, Adobe Experience Manager
• Minimum requirement to travel as required (approx 5-10% as needed)
