Job Summary:
The candidate will work within the SCF Group in the role of primary SCF relationship manager for [Magellan] MUFG’s SCF platform. You will manage all aspects of client interaction and share in the responsibility of coordinating efforts around maintaining and enhancing MUFG’s SCF offering to clients. The position requires excellent communication and relationship building skills as well as an-depth understanding of the payables business and processes. The candidate must also be experienced across all working capital solutions – with experience identifying, originating and executing payable finance programs with the aim of identifying appropriate marketing opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
• Candidate is responsible for being the primary contact point for existing clients on [MUFG’s ] payable platform
• Candidate must be able to work with internal and external partners to identify and solve issues relating to the client management, maintenance and roll out of successful payable programs
• Ability to identify and explore new business opportunities through marketing activities and contribute to the growth of the Supply Chain Finance business in terms of assets, market share and revenue
• The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining deep client relationships at the appropriate client manager levels and working in collaboration with other MUFG product and client coverage team
• Build a strong rapport with Client Coverage and Relationship Managers to identify and solve client’s working capital needs and develop structuring ideas to address specific client needs
• Promote the Supply Chain Finance payables business internally within MUFG and create an environment for leveraging operational efficiencies to existing and new clients
• Perform related duties and participate in special projects as required by the business
Qualifications
• Position typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.) and more than 10 years of experience in general corporate banking with at least 5 years of specific knowledge in supply chain finance payables related programs with proof track record of meaningful deals closed
• Direct experience executing and managing all aspects of SCF payable transactions, experience with other Working Capital solutions preferable
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a vision and experience to build up a business portfolio is needed
• Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with the SCF team members across jurisdictions
• Excellent oral and written presentation and negotiation skills with excellent working knowledge of legal documentation around both payable programs and receivable
• Excellent analytical skills surrounding both credit and operations.
• Thorough understanding of international banking credit and non-credit products, documentation as well as strong knowledge in corporate finance. Some form of credit training is desirable
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and good interpersonal business relationship, communication capabilities and ability to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment
