Prudential Financial is seeking a Director, HR Excellence to play a key leadership role on the Workplace Solutions Group (WSG) Human Resources team. The Director, HR Excellence role will report to the Head of Human Resources for WSG. This individual will also work closely with the HR Leads for Group Insurance and Retirement, responsible for planning the cyclical HR processes, driving and participating in key HR projects, providing the HR team with governance processes, producing ongoing HR dashboard and diversity reports, and designing and facilitating key HR meetings (planning sessions, Town Hall meetings, etc.).
The individual in this role will partner directly with the Head of WSG HR and be a member of the WSG HR Leadership Team. (S)he will also work across the broader Prudential HR organization to ensure consistent practices, assist in enterprise HR initiatives (e.g., HR systems, support of COE efforts), and provide supporting materials and help drive deliverables for our COE partners. Specific accountabilities include:
• Driving HR governance, operational excellence and continuous improvement of HR processes and practices in the context of changing business requirements
• Leading cyclical HR initiatives for WSG (e.g., performance management, compensation, employee engagement), creating best practices that are shared across the enterprise
• Managing the WSG Leadership Team agenda, facilitating the meeting, and holding participants accountable for follow-up action
• Managing and participating in key projects, processes, and initiatives across the HR teams (WSG Centralized Functions / GI / Retirement), as well as support for our COE partners (e.g., creating reports for the Talent COE and OE COE, providing subject-matter expertise to our Shared Services COE)
• Ensuring that WSG HR and business leaders are equipped with actionable human capital metrics, intelligence, and reporting that informs and impacts the strategic, operational, and talent objectives for the WSG organization
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key partners across the Prudential HR organization to ensure WSG is leveraging Prudential HR’s capabilities
• Managing the WSG HR budget and expenses
• Designing and executing HR events that result in engagement, learning, and team-building
• Managing the BC plans and records management for the WSG HR team
• Owning HR-related RCSA’s initiated by the Corporate Risk area
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience planning and project management
• Strong data and analytic skills
• Proven ability to apply metrics and analysis to inform business leaders about trends and to identify targeted areas of opportunity for impact
• Demonstrated ability to learn a variety of businesses, understand business drivers and ‘connect the dots’ between business needs and human capital impact
• Bachelor's degree of equivalent in experience
