Responsible for disbursing funds to CMG custody customer accounts daily amounts can range from 50MM-300MM. Incumbent is responsible for balancing and reconciling the payments made daily, prepares upload for processing through Corporate Finance. Issue checks, ACH, and wire proceeds to customers as instructed. Collects and reconciles safekeeping fees monthly. Perform corporate action processing, and other custody activities as assigned or when backing up other custody positions; such as pledging activities, custody trade desk, Fed/Muni desk or projects as assigned. This position requires sensitivity to customer needs and ability to deal effectively with those needs. Strict confidentiality with customer information is required. This position handles a diverse amount of specific functions, while handling unique customer request and needs in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of accuracy.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
Required:
• High school or equivalent, organized self starter, able to work under pressure & ability to communicate effectively in a fast paced environment with focus on accuracy and customer service.
• Ability to present product information to clients (both internal & external).
• Requires ability to learn the uniqueness of the securities industry and apply this knowledge to day-to-day duties.
• Requires the ability to understand and utilize the InTrader Bond Trading System and Bloomberg, internal Commerce systems and other systems utilized within CMG Ops.
• Must have working experience with Excel/Word and other Microsoft Office products.
• Must have ability to work as a team player.
Preferred:
• 1-2 yrs relevant experience in securities cashiering/bond, safekeeping, Brokerage, Trust operations or previous customer service in banking or other financial field.
• Emphasis in accounting or finance at the College or Jr. College level and some continuing education classes.
• Able to assist supervisor/manager with special projects.
• Knowledge of InTrader or similar system helpful.
